The Hershey Bears announced on Thursday that they have signed former Minnesota Wild defenseman Brad Hunt to an AHL contract for the 2024-25 season.

Hunt, 35, played 70 games last year for the Colorado Avalanche's AHL team. He led the team in scoring with 16 goals, 33 assists, and 49 points while serving as team captain.

He was an AHL All-Star last year as well and finished the season second in the league in scoring for defenders, and tied for the league lead among goals by a defenseman.

The 5-foot-9 defender played three seasons with the Wild where he recorded 12 goals, 13 assists, and 25 points in 100 games. His 100 games with the Wild is the most he's played with any NHL team. Hunt has 26 goals, 60 assists, and 86 points in 288 career NHL games.
