It was on this day in 2019 that the Minnesota Wild fired Paul Fenton from his position as the club's General Manager.
Fenton's Wild team went 36-37-9 in the only season he was in charge for. After questionable trades and many other disasters of which Fenton started, the Wild decided to fire Fenton after his 14 month tenure.
The Wild would go on to hire Bill Guerin as the new General Manager just 22 days after the Club fired Fenton. Just about a year after, Fenton got a job as the Florida Panther's Senior Advisor to the General Manager.
Recently, Fenton got his name on the Stanley Cup after the Panthers won the Stanley Cup for the first time in their team's history.
