Minnesota Wild star defenseman Quinn Hughes traded the rink for the stage Saturday night, making a surprise appearance alongside brother Jack Hughes during Morgan Wallen's walkout before the country star's concert at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Wallen has made his entrance to "Broadway Girls" one of the signature moments of his stadium tour, regularly inviting well-known athletes and celebrities from the host city to join him on the walk to the stage.

For his second sold-out show at Michigan Stadium, the honor went to two of hockey's biggest names. 

Jack Hughes arrived with his USA jersey and Quinn gave his Gold Medal to Wallen to wear. Jack helped the United States capture a gold medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics, where he scored the overtime winner against Canada in the gold medal game.

Quinn, meanwhile, drew plenty of attention of his own by wearing a Michigan football jersey of former Wolverines quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who now plays for the Minnesota Vikings.

It was a fitting homecoming for Quinn Hughes, whose college career at the University of Michigan helped launch him into becoming one of the NHL's premier defensemen. Seeing the Wild star return to Ann Arbor in front of more than 100,000 fans at the Big House brought together hockey, college football and country music in one memorable moment.

The Hughes brothers have become two of the NHL's most recognizable stars over the past several seasons. In front of one of the largest crowds either brother is likely to stand before, outside of an international tournament, they received a thunderous ovation before Wallen ever sang a note.

For hockey fans, it was another reminder of the growing popularity of the Hughes family. Whether it's Quinn leading the Wild, Jack starring for the New Jersey Devils, or their younger brother Luke continuing his rise, the trio has become one of the NHL's biggest attractions both on and off the ice.

The walkout quickly made the rounds on social media, with fans taking notice not only of Jack's Olympic gold medal but also Quinn's Michigan roots and his choice to represent McCarthy's Wolverines jersey in front of the hometown crowd.

It may have only lasted a few moments, but before Wallen's concert officially began, two NHL stars managed to steal the spotlight in Ann Arbor.
