According to reports, the former Wild head coach is likely to land with the Ottawa Senators.

Former Wild head coach Mike Yeo mutually parted ways with Vancouver just a few days ago to pursue other coaching opportunities. It has now been reported a few times that Yeo is likely to join Ottawa.

According to TSN's Darren Dreger, it sounds like Yeo joining the Ottawa Senators as a part of Travis Green's staff is just a matter of time before it is announced.

"I think Mike Yeo is going to land in Ottawa. That's the way it sounds,' Dreger said on TSN's First Up with Aaron Korolnek and Carlo Colaiacovo.

It was also reported by Ottawa Citizen's Bruce Garrioch that Yeo interviewed with Ottawa to join Green's on the coaching staff.

Yeo was in the Wild's organization from 2010 to 2016. He was the Houston Aeros' head coach during the 2010-11 season and eventually took over as the Wild's head coach from 2011-2016.

In his head coaching career, Yeo has a 246-181-45 record. He went 173-132-44 in 349 career games with the Wild across five seasons.
