

The Minnesota Wild (16-15-4) entered the three-day holiday break with three straight wins and six victories in their past seven games. The Wild extended their win streak to four games in a dominant 6-3 decision over the Detroit Red Wings at home on Wednesday in their first game after the break.
But the Wild, who are 11-5 under coach John Hynes, lost 4-2 and 3-2 to the Winnipeg Jets in a home-and-home series this weekend to close out the 2023 calendar year. The Wild hope to get back on track this week when they face the Calgary Flames on Tuesday and Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday at home.
