According to many reports, Ryder Ritchie has been traded to Medicine Hat.

According to the team, Wild prospect Ryder Ritchie has been traded to the Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for Tomas Mrsic, a 2025 Third Round Pick, and a conditional 2028 Third Round Pick.

Ritchie, 18, was drafted by the Wild with the 45th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. He will now join a stacked Medicine Hat Tigers team that includes Gavin McKenna, Cayden Lindstrom, and Andrew Basha. All of which are top prospects (McKenna is a top-3 projected pick in 2026).

The 6-foot winger recorded 19 goals and 44 points in 47 games last year for the Prince Albert Raiders. He is a skilled skater who has a great shot. Ritchie just had a problem staying healthy but when he did, he was great.

“Some games you watch him, and unless he’s got the puck and he’s bursting down the wing, he’s not really too interested,” one scout said. “He’s a one-way player with good speed and skill.”

Ritchie was impressive during development camp earlier this off-season and is a prospect Wild fans should keep an eye on this season.
