Kalem Parker was drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the sixth round of the 2023 NHL Draft.

What will Kirill Kaprizov's extension look Like?

One of the Wild's prospects was traded in the WHL on Sunday. The Calgary Hitmen acquired Kalem Parker from the Moose Jaw Warriors for the rights to 2009 prospect Nathan Gardiner, a second-round pick in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft and a third and seventh round pick in 2026.

Parker, 20, is coming off a career year with the Warriors. He recorded six goals, 36 assists, and 42 points in 63 games. He won the WHL Championship last year and was a big piece on that team.

The 6-foot defenseman has two goals and 12 points in 19 games this season with Moose Jaw and will now be a big piece for a good Calgary Hitmen team.
