Brodin, 31, one day after he got the best player from Sweden's 5-0 win over Slovakia, scored a huge goal for Sweden over Austria on Saturday.
Down 2-1 to Austria with three minutes left, Brodin fired a shot from the point that beat the Austrian goaltender to tie the game at 2-2.
Not long after, New York Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad scored to give Sweden the lead just 12 seconds later. Alexander Wennberg scored an empty-net goal a minute later to seal a 4-2 win over Austria.
It all started with Brodin's game-tying goal late. He has two goals in two games now and leads all defensemen in points and goals in the tournament so far.
