2 Nashville Predators Players Clear Waivers
Nashville Predators forward Kieffer Bellows and defenseman Marc Del Gaizo have cleared waivers, as reported by 102.5 The Game's Nick Kieser.  Bellows, 26, was recalled from the Milwaukee Admirals by the Predators back on Feb. 21. In 13 games with the Predators this season, the 2016 first-round pick has two goals, one assist, 26 hits, and a minus-3 rating, Before his call-up, Bellows had not played at the NHL level since the 2022-23 season. During that campaign, he had three goals and a minus-8 rating in 28 games split between the New York Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers.  Down in the AHL this season with the Admirals, Bellows has 14 goals, 29 points, and 54 penalty minutes.  Del Gaizo, on the other hand, has one goal, seven assists, eight points, and 58 hits in 35 games this season with the Predators. The left-shot defenseman has also played in 30 AHL games this campaign with Milwaukee, posting eight goals, 12 points, and a plus-10 rating.  Del Gaizo was selected by the Predators with the 109th overall pick of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. In 44 career NHL games, the Basking Ridge, New Jersey native has one goal, 11 points, and a plus-2 rating. Nashville Predators Star Filip Forsberg Is Thriving
It has been a tough 2024-25 season for the Nashville Predators. After a big offseason that saw them sign Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault, and Brady Skjei, the Predators currently have the third-least points in the Western Conference standings.  While it has been a year to forget for the Predators, star forward Filip Forsberg has continued to do his part. The 30-year-old winger is once again the Predators' top offensive contributor, leading the team with 28 goals, 38 assists, and 66 points in 71 games.  Forsberg is not showing any signs of slowing down right now, either, as he is in the middle of a major hot streak. The 2012 first-round pick is currently sporting a five-game point streak, where he has three goals and four assists over that span. This includes an assist in the Predators' 3-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes in their last game.  Forsberg was already heating up before his ongoing point streak, too, as he has six goals and 12 points in his last 11 contests.  Overall, even in what has been a down year for the Predators, Forsberg is continuing to make an impact offensively. It will be interesting to see if he can keep this kind of play up for the remainder of the campaign from here.  Recent Predators News  Former Predators Forward Thriving After Trade Former Predators Defender Finds Perfect Fit With New Team New Predators Forward Michael Bunting Breaks The Ice Predators' Ryan O'Reilly Nearing Big Career Milestone Former Predators Forward Sets New NHL Record Former Predators Forward Impressing With New Team Predators' Steven Stamkos Passes Legend On All-Time Goals List New Predators Forward Could Become Nice Surprise

Former Predators Forward Thriving After Trade
With the Nashville Predators not holding a playoff spot at the trade deadline, they naturally sold off some pieces. One of the players the Predators dealt was forward Mark Jankowski, as the 30-year-old was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick. Jankowski's name wasn't really floating around the rumor mill leading up to the deadline, so the move was a bit of a surprising one. This is especially so when noting that he has another year left on his deal after this one.  The change of scenery is undoubtedly benefitting Jankowski so far, as he has been excellent during the early stages of his Hurricanes tenure. In his first seven games with the Metropolitan Division club, the 2012 first-round pick has six goals to go along with a plus-5 rating. This includes scoring two goals in his last two games and four in his previous four contests. Before being traded to the Hurricanes, Jankowski had four goals and nine points in 41 games with the Predators. He is not necessarily known as being a scorer, but he has been just that for the Canes early on. It will be intriguing to see how he builds on his hot streak from here.  Recent Predators News  Former Predators Defender Finds Perfect Fit With New Team New Predators Forward Michael Bunting Breaks The Ice Predators' Ryan O'Reilly Nearing Big Career Milestone Former Predators Forward Sets New NHL Record Former Predators Forward Impressing With New Team Predators' Steven Stamkos Passes Legend On All-Time Goals List New Predators Forward Could Become Nice Surprise

Former Predators Defender Finds Perfect Fit With New Team
Back in November of the 2024-25 season, the Nashville Predators placed defenseman Dante Fabbro on waivers. Leading up to this, the 2016 first-round pick became the odd man out on the Predators' blueline, being the subject of multiple healthy scratches. He appeared in just six games before this waiver placement, where he had zero and a minus-3 rating. With the Columbus Blue Jackets needing more defensive depth and having plenty of cap space, they claimed Fabbro off waivers from the Predators. This is a decision that the Blue Jackets must be incredibly happy about, as Fabbro has been excellent for them since.  In 50 games with the Blue Jackets since being claimed off waivers, Fabbro has five goals, 11 assists, 16 points, and a plus-15 rating. Due to his strong all-around play, he is currently on their top pairing with Zach Werenski and second penalty-kill unit. With this, he has undoubtedly become an important part of their blueline.  Sometimes, a player benefits from a change of scenery, and Fabbro is right now. He has taken advantage of his opportunities with the Blue Jackets and is now setting himself up for a raise for his next contract because of it. The 26-year-old defenseman is a pending unrestricted free agent, but given how well he has played for the Blue Jackets, it seems likely they will try to keep him around.  In 315 games over seven seasons with the Predators, Fabbro had 16 goals, 72 points, 317 hits, and a plus-6 rating.  Recent Predators News  New Predators Forward Michael Bunting Breaks The Ice Predators' Ryan O'Reilly Nearing Big Career Milestone Former Predators Forward Sets New NHL Record Former Predators Forward Impressing With New Team Predators' Steven Stamkos Passes Legend On All-Time Goals List New Predators Forward Could Become Nice Surprise

New Predators Forward Michael Bunting Breaks The Ice
On March 23, the Nashville Predators picked up an impressive win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. After being down 2-0 at the end of the first period, the Predators responded with five unanswered goals to defeat Toronto by a 5-2 final score. New Predators forward Michael Bunting got Nashville's rally started when he scored at the 1:39 mark of the second period. His goal was a nice one, too, as he one-timed a great feed from Fedor Svechkov past Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll. This goal was significant for Bunting, too, as it was his first since being acquired by the Predators from the Pittsburgh Penguins on March 5. The 29-year-old forward did not record a point in his first four games with the Predators, but he has now broken the ice with his great goal.  Bunting has shown throughout his career that he can provide solid offense when playing at his best. The 2014 fourth-round pick has two 23-goal seasons and memorably recorded 63 points in 79 games with the Maple Leafs in 2021-22. He also had 19 goals and 55 points in 81 games this past season split between the Carolina Hurricanes and Penguins. Thus, he has the potential to become a key part of Nashville's offense moving forward. It will now be intriguing to see how Bunting builds off his strong performance for the Predators from here. Predators' Ryan O'Reilly Nearing Big Career Milestone
Nashville Predators forward Ryan O'Reilly has once again been one of the Central Division club's top offensive contributors this season. In 66 games, the 6-foot-1 forward currently ranks fourth on the team in goals (16), assists (26), and points (42). Overall, the 34-year-old center is proving that he can still produce well at the NHL level, even in what has been a tough season for Nashville. O'Reilly has been an impactful forward throughout his career, and he is nearing a significant milestone because of it. The 2009 second-round pick needs just two more goals to hit the 300th of his career.  Throughout his career, O'Reilly has been more of a pass-first center, as his 515 assists in 1,139 career games demonstrate. However, even with this being the case, he also has been a solid goal scorer when noting that he is so close to career goal No. 300.  O'Reilly is currently in the middle of a scoring drought at this point of the season, though. The veteran forward has not scored a goal in his last eight contests but scored twice on March 4 against the Boston Bruins before his current drought. Nevertheless, O'Reilly is a player to watch incredibly closely. With the Predators having 13 games left, the Clinton, Ontario native has a good shot of scoring his 300th career goal before the season ends. It will be intriguing to see if he does just that from here.  Recent Predators News  Former Predators Forward Sets New NHL Record Former Predators Forward Impressing With New Team Predators' Steven Stamkos Passes Legend On All-Time Goals List New Predators Forward Could Become Nice Surprise

Former Predators Forward Sets New NHL Record
During this past season, Nashville Predators defenseman Jeremy Lauzon made NHL history. The 6-foot-3 defenseman set an NHL record by finishing the campaign with  383 hits in 79 games. However, Lauzon's hit record has now been beaten by one of his former Nashville teammates - Kiefer Sherwood. During the Vancouver Canucks' March 22 contest against the New York Rangers, Sherwood threw his 384th hit of the campaign. It took the Columbus, Ohio native 66 games to set this new NHL record.  Sherwood spent the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons as a member of the Predators. In 100 games with the Central Division squad, he had 17 goals, 40 points, 337 hits, and a plus-21 rating.  Sherwood's time with the Predators ended this past off-season when he signed a two-year, $3 million contract with the Canucks. In 65 games this season with Vancouver, he has set new career highs with 15 goals and 29 points.  Recent Predators News  Former Predators Forward Impressing With New Team Predators' Steven Stamkos Passes Legend On All-Time Goals List New Predators Forward Could Become Nice Surprise

Former Predators Forward Impressing With New Team
Back in November, the Nashville Predators traded forward Philip Tomasino to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round pick. At the time of the move, the 2019 first-round pick was struggling with the Predators, as he had just one assist in 11 games.  Tomasino struggled to find his fit with the Predators during his time with the club, so the move was not particularly surprising when it came to fruition. However, there is no question that the 23-year-old forward is benefitting from the change of scenery quite well.  Tomasino has impressed with more consistent playing time with Pittsburgh, as he has 10 goals and 20 points in 42 games with the Metropolitan Division club. However, he is only heating up more as this campaign rolls on, scoring a goal and posting four points in his last four contests.  Due to his strong play with the Penguins, Tomasino is seeing time in both Pittsburgh's top six and on their power play. Naturally, this gives the former Nashville forward more opportunities, and he is certainly taking advantage of that.  Sometimes, a fresh start can help a player tremendously, and we are seeing that with Tomasino and the Penguins. It will be interesting to see how he builds on his solid play with Pittsburgh from here. Predators' Steven Stamkos Passes Legend On All-Time Goals List
During the Nashville Predators' March 20 matchup against the Anaheim Ducks, Steven Stamkos scored the game-opening goal at the 7:07 mark of the first. The star forward's goal was a nice, too, as he one-timed a Filip Forsberg feed past Ducks goaltender John Gibson. This was Stamkos' sixth goal in his last eight games and his 23rd of the season. It was also the 578th career goal of the 35-year-old's incredible career. With this, he now is 22nd on the NHL's all-time scoring list because of it, passing Hockey Hall of Famer Mark Recchi. This is undoubtedly a fantastic achievement for Stamkos, especially when noting that Recchi is among the best players to ever play in the NHL. It took Stamkos 1,150 career games to pass Recchi on the all-time list.  Coincidentally, Stamkos and Recchi were also teammates during the former's rookie year with the Tampa Bay Lightning back in 2008-09. However, Recchi would end up being dealt to the Boston Bruins later on that season.  Nevertheless, this is a great accomplishment for Stamkos. Next up on the list on the list for Stamkos to catch is Jari Kurri, who had 601 goals in 1,251 career NHL games.  Recent Predators News  New Predators Forward Could Become Nice Surprise

New Predators Forward Could Become Nice Surprise
On March 6, the Nashville Predators claimed forward Jakub Vrana off waivers from the Washington Capitals. Seeing the Predators take a shot on Vrana was understandable, as they needed more forward depth. In addition, his $775,000 cap hit until the end of the season undoubtedly adds to his appeal. While Vrana became the odd man out with the Capitals this season, he showed that he can still provide decent secondary offensive production even in a depth role. In 26 games with the Capitals before being claimed off waivers by the Predators, he had seven goals, 11 points, and a plus-6 rating.  In his first two games with the Predators following getting claimed, Vrana did not record a point. However, he broke the ice in Nashville's last contest against the Anaheim Ducks, as he scored his first goal with his new team. Vrana's first goal with the Predators was a nice, too. After receiving a feed from Brady Skjei, Vrana one-timed it home past Ducks goaltender Lukas Dostal. This was a goal scorer's goal from the 29-year-old winger, and it will now be something he looks to build on from here. If Vrana can continue scoring like this, he could be a very nice surprise for the Predators. He has the potential to produce solid offense when he's on his game, as he has 118 goals and 221 points in 396 career NHL games. Perhaps receiving more chances with the Predators could help him heat back up again. It will be fascinating to see if that comes to fruition from here.

Former Predators Forward Has Excellent Debut With New Team
With the Nashville Predators near the bottom of the NHL standings, they made multiple changes to their roster leading up to the trade deadline. Mark Jankowski was among the players the Predators traded, as he was dealt to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round pick. With the Hurricanes being a top team in the NHL, it is understandable that they acquired Jankowski. He will now provide them with another option for their bottom six and adds more overall experience to their forward depth.  Jankowski made his Hurricanes debut on March 9 against the Winnipeg Jets, and it could not have gone much better. The former Nashville forward scored twice for the Hurricanes in their 4-2 win. Jankowski's first goal was excellent. After receiving a breakout pass from defenseman Scott Morrow, Jankowski beat Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck with a beautiful wrist shot. His second of the game was also nice, as he crashed the net hard before digging the puck home. With this strong debut for the Hurricanes, Jankowski now has five goals and 11 points in 42 games this season. He was also named the First Star of the Game for his strong performance. Overall, it was simply an excellent way for him to make a first impression.
