As the deadline nears, there are some teams that could still use an addition like Barrie.

Tyson Barrie's name is still out there as a possibility to be traded on deadline day from the Nashville Predators. Talks could start to pick up over the final few hours as teams run out of options and others may want low-risk upgrades to reward their teams with help.
Barry Trotz is working to do what's best for the Predators and Barrie, and that could still mean a trade, so let's take a look at three teams that make sense as potential destinations.
The Philadelphia Flyers have 21 draft picks in the next two drafts and eight of them in the first two rounds, so the team has no shortage of assets to use to help this team a little bit right now. The Flyers already traded Sean Walker, which opens up a spot on the right side, so there's room to add.
Barrie won't garner a return close to Walker, but he is also not as strong defensively. With injuries to three key players on the back-end for the Flyers and cap space to spare, Barrie would be an upgrade over Ronnie Attard and Adam Ginning while also giving the Flyers another right-shot option as Jamie Drysdale, Rasmus Ristolainen, and Nick Seeler are currently listed as week-to-week.
After the Calgary Flames have moved on from Nikita Zadorov, Chris Tanev, and Noah Hanifin, the back-end looks particularly weak. What's interesting about their situation is that the team is winning and playing well.
There is an argument that can be made that the roster deserves some help for all the great work they have done despite the subtractions. With Mackenzie Weegar and Rasmus Andersson playing together on the top pairing, there is only Brayden Pachal and Daniil Miromanov as right-shot options beyond that, and they have combined for 71 career NHL games.
The Flames have cap space now that they have moved on from a number of players and can either take on some of Barrie's cap hit or all of it for an even lower cost. Having won six of the past seven games and sitting six points back of a playoff spot with one game in hand, it's worth giving the players some hope and a reward for their efforts.
The New York Islanders have recently been hit with some bad news for Scott Mayfield as hit status has been changed to out indefinitely. This means that there is a hole on the right side that needs to be filled.

Sebastian Aho has filled in fairly nicely and the Islanders already have Samuel Bolduc on the roster, but hasn't played in a while. The team could use a puck-mover in Barrie on the right side to add another layer of scoring. There is enough cap space available for the team to make an addition at half price. The Islanders are just two points back of a playoff spot with two games in hand. They are rolling and also deserve a boost into their lineup.
It makes little sense for the Predators to hold onto Barrie past the trade deadline, so if any of these teams or any others come knocking, expect a move.
