Meier has been out of the lineup since Dec. 30.
It is official. Timo Meier will be back in the New Jersey Devils lineup Wednesday night.
"Timo is good to go," head coach Lindy Ruff said.
During the team's morning skate, he was on a line with Michael McLeod and Dawson Mercer, with whom he had previously found success.
"Every time you come back from injury, you try to go out there and keep it simple in the beginning," Meier said, "focus on the small tasks and go help the team whatever way you can, whether it's finishing a check, blocking a shot, or winning 50/50 battles."
Meier was placed on injured reserve on Jan. 6, retroactive to Dec. 30, 2023. He sustained a mid-body injury in his team's Dec. 30 game versus the Boston Bruins. The winger could not finish the game and missed the third period, only playing 12:30.
The power forward has appeared in 28 games this season and has 15 points (nine goals, six assists). He missed time earlier this season with a lower-body injury.
The Devils will host the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night at Prudential Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 P.M.
