The New Jersey Devils are back on the ice on April 8 to face off against the Boston Bruins. Their goal will be to stay hot after winning their last two contests against the Minnesota Wild and then the New York Rangers.

This game also offers the Devils a golden opportunity. If they pick up at least one point in their contest against the Bruins, they will officially clinch a playoff berth. Thus, this matchup is an important one for the Metropolitan Division club.

The Devils are currently in a great position, as they have a 10-point lead over the Rangers for the third-place spot in the Metropolitan Division. However, they would be able to breathe even more comfortably by officially clinching a playoff berth.

The last time the Devils made the post-season was during the 2022-23 season, where the Carolina Hurricanes knocked them out in the second round. Now, the Devils are on the verge of getting back into them, and it will be intriguing to see if that happens after their contest against Boston from here.
