New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes once again had a strong season in 2024-25. In 62 games with the Metropolitan Division club, the 2019 first-overall pick recorded 27 goals, 43 assists, 70 points, and a plus-12 rating. Unfortunately, his campaign came to an early end in March, as he underwent season-ending shoulder surgery.

The expectation is that Hughes will be ready to go for the start of the 2025-26 season, and he will continue to be an incredibly important part of New Jersey's offense. If the star center stays healthy, he should hit a notable career milestone before the upcoming campaign is over.

At the time of this writing, Hughes currently sits at 351 career points. With this, he is only 49 points away from reaching the 400th point of his NHL career. When noting that Hughes is only 24 years old and has just 368 career NHL games on his resume, it is undoubtedly impressive that he is already close to hitting the 400-point mark.

Hughes has produced at over a point-per-game pace in each of the last three seasons, so he should have no trouble recording at least 49 points next season if he stays healthy. Thus, it should not take him much longer to reach the 400-point milestone.
