The New Jersey Devils are bringing in a veteran forward to their roster.
The Devils have announced that they have signed winger Evgenii Dadonov to a one-year, $1 million contract for the 2025-26 season.
Dadonov, 36, spent this past season with the Dallas Stars. In 80 games with the Central Division club, he posted 20 goals, 40 points, and a plus-1 rating. Overall, it was a solid campaign for the 2007 third-round pick.
With the Devils needing more secondary offensive production, it makes sense that they have signed Dadonov. He should be a nice fit in their top nine and will also offer them another skilled forward to work with on their power play.
Overall, this is very much a low-risk move for the Devils. It will be intriguing to see how much of an impact Dadonov makes with the Devils next season from here.
