Ondrej Palat joined his teammates on the ice for Wednesday's practice before the club traveled to Carolina.

NEWARK, N.J. -- It appears the New Jersey Devils are getting another player back from injury.
Veteran winger Ondrej Palat joined his teammates for their 45-minute practice session on Wednesday after being sidelined with a lower-body injury.
"He's been skating for a while now and got a full practice in. He looks like he's going to be good to go," head coach Lindy Ruff said.
During practice, Palat skated on a line with Tyler Toffoli and Dawson Mercer.
Palat met with the media and shared that his injury was a lingering issue in his past few games played. He last suited up on Dec. 30 against the Boston Bruins.
"I felt great to finally get out there and skate with the team, with the boys," he said. "I felt pretty good. It's back to normal."
On Thursday, the Devils will face the Carolina Hurricanes for the first time since the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs. New Jersey is fourth in the Metropolitan Division with a record of 24-18-3 for 51 points.
The club will play one final game against the Tampa Bay Lightning before the NHL All-Star break.
Below are the lines and pairs used at Wednesday's practice:
Timo Meier - Nico Hischier - Jesper Bratt
Curtis Lazar - Erik Haula - Nathan Bastian
Tyle Toffoli - Dawson Mercer - Ondrej Palat
Max Willman - Chris Tierney - Alexander Holtz
Kevin Bahl - Simon Nemec
Luke Hughes - John Marino
