The Devils should consider pushing this Bruins forward.
The New Jersey Devils will likely look to add to their roster before the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline passes. This is because they are one of the top teams in the league at this juncture of the season, so they are in a prime position to be buyers.
The Devils could use another bottom-six forward, and one specific player who they should consider making a real push for because of this is Boston Bruins forward Trent Frederic.
Frederic, 26, has been generating interest around the league. It is easy to understand why, as he is an incredibly hard-nosed forward who can provide decent secondary scoring. Thus, he could be a marvelous addition to a Devils club that could benefit from adding more grit to its roster for the postseason.

Frederic has appeared in 34 games this season with the Bruins, where he has five goals, 11 points, and 100 hits. While his offensive numbers are down this season, he also had 18 goals and 40 points in 82 games just last season. Thus, the potential for him to be a more significant offensive threat is there.
Frederic also offers great versatility, playing both down the middle and on the wing. With this, he could fit virtually anywhere in New Jersey's bottom six.
