Former Devils Star Impressing With New Team

This former Devils forward is having a solid season with his new team.

    Nico Hischier Injury Update

During this past off-season, former New Jersey Devils forward Tyler Toffoli signed a four-year, $24 million contract with the San Jose Sharks. This was after he had 33 goals and 55 points in 79 games split between the Devils and Winnipeg Jets in 2023-24.

When Toffoli signed his new deal with the Sharks, the expectation was that he would become an essential part of their top six. So far, it is entirely fair to say he has been just that, as he is having a strong first season in San Jose.

Toffoli, 32, currently has a team-leading 20 goals for the Sharks and is ranked third on the club with 36 points in 54 games. Overall, the Scarborough, Ontario native is providing the Sharks with solid offensive production while also being a valuable leader in their room.

Toffoli also seems only to be getting better as this season carries on, too. He is currently sporting a five-game point streak, where he has three goals and six points over that span.

Toffoli appeared in 61 games last season with the Devils, where he had 26 goals and 44 points. His time in New Jersey ended when he was dealt to the Jets for a 2025 second-round pick and a 2024 third-round pick.
