    Juuso Pärssinen is making his presence known in Stockholm, Sweden at the 2025 IIHF Men’s World Championship. 

    After an epic comeback From Team Finland against Team France to push a game into overtime on Sunday night, Pärssinen used his speed to cut to the net and put on a nifty move on display, scoring a thrilling overtime-winning goal.

    After the emotional game, Pärssinen described the moment and what it meant to score an important goal for his country.

    “That’s the biggest goal I’ve scored for the country,” Pärssinen said. “It’s in a way special after a game like this, it’s a relief… The first overtime goal I scored for the National Team, it’s one of the biggest goals I’ve scored for sure.”

    The 24-year-old forward recently signed a two-year contract extension with the New York Rangers.

    For Pärssinen, representing Finland on an international stage is a special opportunity that he truly cherishes.

    “It’s unbelievable,” Pärssinen said about playing at the World Championship. “Especially as a Finnish guy, it’s a dream to play here. In a way it is a dream come true here. I’m excited. It’s been fun so far and it’s going to be a fun couple of weeks here.”
