    Philadelphia Flyers goalie Ivan Fedotov entered tonight's game in the second period against the New York Islanders for his NHL debut. 

    Fedotov, 27, has taken a journey to the NHL that eventually led him to make his debut in the Flyers' biggest game of the season. The Flyers went up 1-0 over the New York Islanders but gave up two goals in the first. Samuel Ersson made four saves on six shots. 

    The Islanders and Flyers are separated by three points in the Eastern Conference standings. The Islanders also have two games in hand. 

    Travis Sanheim tied the game at two 43 seconds in the second period.
