This Flyers prospect is putting up some strong numbers as of late.

As Denver Barkey heads back to the London Knights after spending the last couple of months watching the Philadelphia Flyers' training camp from the sidelines, he reflects on his recovery from illness and coming back a stronger player than before.

Philadelphia Flyers prospect Olle Lycksell has been one of the top forwards on the Lehigh Valley Phantoms this season. In 23 games, he has five goals to go along with 18 points.

However, what is more encouraging about Lycksell's play is that he is only seeming to get better as the season rolls on. Over his last seven games, he has two goals to go along with seven points. In addition, he has recorded an assist in each of his last two games.

Seeing Lycksell starting to produce consistently at the AHL level is very encouraging. If he keeps this kind of play up, it could open the door for him to receive a recall to the Flyers' roster before the season is over. This is especially so if injuries arise.

Lycksell played in a career-high 18 games with the Flyers last season, where he has one goal, five points, and an even plus/minus rating. It will be fascinating to see if he ends up getting another chance on the Flyers' roster soon.
