Philadelphia Flyers goalie prospect Alexei Kolosov has switched agents amidst persistent rumors that he has become disenchanted with the organization and wishes to continue his career in his native Belarus.
He will now be represented by Dan Milstein of Gold Star Sports Management Group.
Kolosov has been at the center of controversy after he allegedly grew frustrated because he didn’t want to play in the AHL, and was further dissatisfied with the amount of playing minutes he had received last season.
He has been spending the offseason training with his former club, the KHL’s Dinamo Minsk, and is reportedly seeking a way out of his Flyers contract so that he can stay in Belarus.
As of right now, Kolosov is contractually obligated to return to the U.S. to participate in the Flyers’ preseason camps.
Flyers GM Danny Briere is the only party to have officially commented on the situation, simply stating that Kolosov is expected to participate in the team’s preseason schedule.
