The Philadelphia Flyers are undoubtedly strengthening their prospect pool as they continue their rebuild. They have an array of promising youngsters in their system, and prospect Cole Knuble is certainly one of them.

Knuble, 20, was selected by the Flyers with the 103rd overall pick of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. This was after the 5-foot-11 forward posted 30 goals and 66 points in 57 games with the Fargo Force of the USHL in 2022-23.

After being selected by the Flyers, Knuble started his collegiate career with Notre Dame during the 2023-24 season. In 36 games with the school during his freshman year, he recorded nine goals, 20 points, and a plus-4 rating. Overall, he had a solid first year and created optimism, but there's no question he hit a new level in 2024-25 with the school.

Knuble's offense with Notre Dame significantly improved in 2024-25, as he recorded 12 goals, 27 assists, and 39 points in 34 games. With this, the young forward was named a Hobey Baker nominee and undoubtedly took a significant step forward in his development in the process.

Seeing a prospect like Knuble improving his offensive totals and all-around game so significantly is quite encouraging for the Flyers. With this, the youngster demonstrated that he has the potential to blossom into an NHL talent in the future, which is good news for a Flyers club needing help down the middle.

It will now be fascinating to see how Knuble builds on it with the school in 2025-26 from here.
