The Philadelphia Flyers lost to the Washington Capitals by a 6-3 final score on Wednesday (Oct. 23). With it, they have now dropped to a 1-5-1 record.

While the Flyers lost this one, they did make it close. After starting the game by allowing four unanswered goals, they responded with three unanswered goals of their own. Star rookie Matvei Michkov is the Flyer who made it a one-goal game, and his goal was a beauty.

Michkov showed great hands and patience while handling the puck from the blue line before firing a snapshot top shelf past Capitals goalie Logan Thompson.

Michkov has created a lot of hype because of his outstanding shot, and he undoubtedly showed it off with this goal. With his goal and assist against the Caps on Wednesday, he now has three goals and seven points in seven games this season.
