The Carolina Hurricanes have placed former Philadelphia Flyers forward Brendan Lemieux on waivers.
The Flyers acquired Lemieux and a 2024 fifth-round pick from the Los Angeles Kings for Zack MacEwen during the 2022-23 season. Following the trade, Lemieux had two goals, six points, 21 penalty minutes, 52 hits, and a plus-3 rating in 18 games with Philly.
Brendan LemieuxLemieux's time with the Flyers ended when he signed a one-year, $800,000 contract with the Hurricanes during the 2023 NHL off-season. In 32 games with the Hurricanes last season, he had three goals, two assists, and 64 penalty minutes. He also signed a one-year, $775,000 extension with the club this past March to remain with the club for this campaign.
