Frost Still Considered Trade Material For Flyers, Makes List Of 25 Top Trade Targets
Despite turning his season around in impressive fashion, Philadelphia Flyers center Morgan Frost still made a list of 25 top trade targets, compiled by Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli.

Frost persevered through a stretch of benchings and healthy scratches by head coach John Tortorella, and began dramatically improving after having a one-on-one conversation with Tortorella back in January. Soon, Frost became an integral part of the Flyers' offense, and was playing what many fans considered to be the best hockey of his career in Philadelphia.
Although he was able to show the world what he's capable of on the ice (and it could be argued that he didn't even have the opportunity to showcase the full range of his talents because of incompatible linemates), Frost's name still appeared at No. 17 on Seravalli's list of 25 top trade targets for teams to consider as the NHL Draft approaches at the end of the month.
"After a rocky year that saw Frost sit as a healthy scratch for a chunk of time, it sure ended well. Frost closed the campaign with 30 points in 44 games in the 2024 calendar year," Seravalli noted.
He also highlighted that Tortorella remaining the Flyers' head coach is a main reason for Frost to be moved elsewhere.
"One thing that doesn’t appear to be changing: John Tortorella as Flyers coach," he wrote. "While some pushback from Frost seemed to do him well in Tortorella’s books, it’s not entirely clear whether they’ll ever see eye-to-eye. Or if Frost’s style of game will mesh with what Tortorella is looking for on a nightly basis."
He does acknowledge that if the Flyers are considering a trade for Frost, they're not going to let him go easily.
"The Flyers see plenty of upside on Frost and wouldn’t hesitate to keep him," he wrote. "They’re also interested in anything creative thrown their way, so they’d be open to moving Frost and Joel Farabee and others in the right deal. But there hasn’t been much action on that front yet."
