The Philadelphia Flyers traveled up to Boston to try and bounce back from their troubling loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday, but a third-period goal explosion from the Bruins crushed those hopes.

Ryan Poehling, Joel Farabee, Nic Deslauriers, and Morgan Frost got on the scoreboard for the Flyers, but the Bruins responded with goals by Charlie Coyle, Jake DeBrusk, Johnny Beecher, and Morgan Geekie. Farabee's goals tonight bring him to 21 on the season, a new single-season career best.

The Flyers struck first, thanks to a goal from Ryan Poehling, his ninth of the season.

Morgan Geekie then responded to make it a 1-1 game.

Philadelphia pulled ahead once again, courtesy of a beautiful offensive sequence between Cam York and Joel Farabee.

The Bruins were able to tie things up again with a Charlie Coyle goal, his first of the night.

It was a close 2-2 game, but before the Flyers knew it, they were suddenly hit with a flurry of goals—three goals in two minutes, to be specific—to make the game 5-2.

Johnny Beecher, Jake DeBrusk, and a second goal from Charlie Coyle rocketed the home team ahead.

The scoring didn't stop there, as Nic Deslauriers was able to get his first goal of the season to put the Flyers within two.

Morgan Frost got in on the action, putting the puck behind Jeremy Swayman to bring the Flyers within one.

Danton Heinen pulled the Bruins ahead by two again, netting his 13th of the season.

Joel Farabee made the sure the Flyers' comeback didn't die out, netting his second of the night and bringing his career tally to 21, a new career best.

Although they fought tooth and nail for it, the Flyers couldn't complete the comeback, falling 6-5 to the Bruins.
