Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella looks towards center Sean Couturier (14) as he jumps on the ice against the Montreal Canadiens during the first period at Bell Centre.

Philadelphia Flyers captain Sean Couturier will not travel with the team for their back-to-back away games against the Buffalo Sabres and Columbus Blue Jackets.
Couturier had to exit the Flyers' game against the New York Islanders on Monday night, after a bad collision with Ryan Pulock sent the Flyers captain careening into the boards and directly hitting his shoulder.
He headed down the tunnel before the conclusion of the first period, and did not return for the rest of the game.
Head coach John Tortorella did not immediately have updates on Couturier's condition after the game, but did clarify that he was "day-to-day" the day after, although there is no specific timeline for his recovery as of right now.
