The Pittsburgh Penguins seem to be getting Bryan Rust back in their lineup in Nashville.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are getting some reinforcements as they kick off a stint of road games that will see them travel for five of their next six games.
Following a morning skate in Nashville, Penguins’ head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed that forward Bryan Rust will be available to play against the Predators.
Rust has been absent from the lineup for three games dealing with a lower-body injury.
In his place, Drew O’Connor filled in on the first line, and has earned a right to stay there, even with a healthy rust.
Regardless, Rust will likely return to the first line where he has put together a great start to the season.
In 17 games played, Rust has been close to a point per game player with nine goals and six assists for 16 points.
Sullivan also stated that defenseman P.O. Joseph’s status is still making progress in recovering from a nagging injury himself.
Joseph did, however, take part in the Penguins optional skate with the team in Nashville.
