John Ludvig was making his NHL debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
A scary moment unfolded at about the half way point of the contest between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Dallas Stars.
Penguins defenseman John Ludvig, who was playing in his NHL debut, went for a huge hit on Radek Faksa, but Ludvig took the worst of the impact.
Ludvig hit the ice and remained motionless for a few moments, while Faksa seemed unharmed.
Medical staff were in the ice immediately to attend to Ludvig.
After some time, Ludvig was able to lean up and eventually skate off the ice with the assistance of a couple of teammates.
In the early stages of his debut, Ludvis was showing his aggressive game with a recorded hit through seven shifts in the opening frame.
