The greatest defenseman in Pittsburgh Penguins history continues to prove his greatness.

With an assist on a game-tying goal against the Carolina Hurricanes, Pittsburgh Penguins defender Kris Letang notched his 700th career point.

Letang is already touted as the greatest defenseman in Penguins’ history, but he continues to cement his legacy as one of the game’s all-time greats.

Over his career, Letang has recorded 157 goals 543 assists for an even 700 points in 1,021 games.

Each of those numbers leads all defensemen in Penguins history.

With his 700th career point, Letang became the 28th defender to ever reach the number, and 10th to do so completely just one team.

All of his numbers are sure to rise as, even at the age of 36, Letang still have five years remaining on his contract and is yet to show signs of slowing down.

Letang has taken on a new role as a more defensive defenseman, but his offensive prowess is still extremely present.
