The Pittsburgh Penguins have given an update on Tristan Jarry’s injury.
The Pittsburgh Penguins received encouraging injury news this afternoon. After starting goaltender Tristan Jarry left the team's last game with an upper-body injury, his status moving forward seemed murky. However, head coach Mike Sullivan provided a more positive update.
In a statement, Sullivan stated that all testing “came back positive.” Despite taking a puck to the face, it appears Jarry has gotten by relatively unscathed. He still has some swelling in his face, but he is considered day-to-day.
“He's got a little bit of limited vision with just the swelling. When that goes down, he'll be good to go,” said Sullivan.
With Jarry out for tonight’s game, the team called up prospect Joel Blomqvist from Wilkes-Barre. He’ll serve as back-up to Magnus Hellberg against the Kings.
