International hockey could be making a roaring comeback with the involvement of NHL players, and one of the biggest names on the Pittsburgh Penguins is sure to be at the center of conversation.

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has been a leader for Team Canada and their international tournaments ever since his days in junior hockey.

Now, at the age of 36, Crosby has only a few chances left to represent his native country, but might have to take a backseat to one of the best players in the NHL.

The next time an international tournament takes place could be the first time the hockey world will see Crosby and Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid share the ice on the same team.

It’s a rare occurrence to see two of the sport’s best wearing the same logo, and it is something magical when it happens.

Despite the 10-year age gap, Crosby has done his best to keep pace with players like McDavid.

If the two played on the same team, it’s likely they would share a line, but there’s just one problem.

Both Crosby and McDavid are centers; one of them would have to transition to the wing.

Crosby told the 32 Thoughts Podcast that he’d be the one willing to move.

“I’ve skated with him,” Crosby said. “I’ve played both. I think I’m good either way, playing center or wing. Whatever he wants to do.”

Crosby would leave the decision up to McDavid saying the younger superstar can ‘carry the mail' as the center.

    “I’ll find the openings.”

Crosby noted that it is always a great opportunity to play for and represent his country in a best-on-best tournament and is excited about the possibility of it returning.
