The Pittsburgh Penguins now have three players signed to PTOs as training camp draws closer.
Just when you thought the Pittsburgh Penguins were only signing a pair of defensemen to professional tryout offers, they slip in a forward.
While the Penguins confirmed and announced the signing of Mark Pysyk and Libor Hajek to PTOs, they also brought on forward Austin Wagner.
At the age of 26, Wagner is coming off of a season where he played just seven games with the Chicago Blackhawks and scored a goal and an assist.
Wagner has appeared in 178 career games at the NHL level, most of which coming with the Los Angeles Kings.
Through his career, Wagner has recorded 23 goals and 19 assists for 42 total points.
Wagner will join a Penguins training camp that is already pretty stacked in terms of forwards fighting for NHL roles.
As PTO season continues throughout the NHL, the Penguins made sure to not be left behind.
Pysyk, Hajek, and Wagner are their three and their sights may still be out on Tomas Tatar.
