The Pittsburgh Penguins have won four straight games on the back of stellar goaltending.

As the calendar flipped to November, the Pittsburgh Penguins flipped the script on the first portion of their season. They have boosted themselves in the Eastern Conference standings thanks to their 4-0 start this month.

The Penguins have performed much better over the past few weeks, but their goaltender, Tristan Jarry, has had the most drastic turnaround. Jarry reached a low point following the Penguins' 4-3 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on October 30th.

He allowed four goals on 27 shots in that game, including a last-minute breakaway goal by Mason McTavish to clinch the victory for the Ducks. Before that night, Jarry was pulled from a game against the Ottawa Senators after allowing three goals on nine shots.

Jarry had some harsh words for himself following the loss to Anaheim, saying, "I don't think I've been giving the guys enough of a chance to win every night."

Up to that point, the Penguins netminder had a 2-5 record on the season and a .893 save percentage. However, that loss on home ice sparked something for Jarry.

Since that game and subsequent self-evaluation by Jarry, the 28-year-old has won three straight games, allowing only two goals on 81 shots and adding his third shutout of the season.

Jarry's confidence has resurrected his performance and could be the key to helping the Penguins continue their rise up the Eastern Conference standings.
