After what they showed in the preseason, the San Jose Sharks will have some decisions.

The San Jose Sharks finished the preseason with a 2-2-2 record. Although there are still many decisions, here's what we learned.
Head Coach David Quinn enters year two with light pressure on his back. Although the team isn't expected to be successful, a coach still needs to uplift his team.
For Quinn, uplifting and coaching the Sharks hasn't been an issue. Multiple times throughout last season, players expressed their enjoyment of coming to the rink and playing for Quinn.
This season is no different. The camaraderie on and off the ice is easily seen at practice.
From a game standpoint, Quinn's system and style will allow the Sharks to be competitive in most games. From a fan perspective, this style of hockey is enjoyable to watch, regardless of who you root for.
Although MacKenzie Blackwood hasn't been bad this preseason, Kaapo Kahkonen has been that much better.
Kahkonen stopped 50/52 shots this preseason. He showed poise and confidence in the crease. It's something that wasn't seen until very late last season.
Kahkonen looked like a different goalie at training camp. Quinn has said that he feels the goaltender is in an excellent mindset as he heads into this season.
Although Quinn has yet to decide who the starter will be on Oct. 12, Kahkonen looks to have the upper hand right now.
The San Jose Sharks have two prospects that played very well this preseason, and both should be in the opening night lineup.
2021 first-round pick William Eklund seemingly got better as training camp and the preseason continued. He showed the aggressive, offensive style that he and Quinn wanted during the final two games of the preseason.
He also showed top-end skill with two terrific setups to Thomas Bordeleau from behind the net.
Henry Thrun was nothing but perfect during his preseason. He scored 24 seconds into the first game and had a three-point night. He also showed control and strength in the defensive zone. It would be a major surprise if he doesn't make the NHL roster.
