Anthony Duclair is helping the San Jose Sharks in many ways besides his play.

When the San Jose Sharks acquired Anthony Duclair from the Florida Panthers, they knew they were getting a good player.
What they didn't know was how involved he would be with every one of his teammates.
Duclair has uplifted others, is always smiling, and ensures guys are supported.
"I've obviously played for a few teams. [I've] been a healthy scratch. [I've been] in the lineup. I've been through pretty much everything as a player," Duclair said. "I know what it feels like. It can be lonely. It sucks. Everybody wants to play and be a part of the lineup. For me, having that experience personally, I think I can cheer up guys who are going through the same thing I've been through."
Duclair said he has started settling in with Sharks head coach David Quinn's system. Duclair has four points in his last two games.
"He's always had a great personality and smile on his face, similar to [Hertl]," Quinn said. "He's energetic. Sometimes, it takes a little time to get acclimated."
Duclair is on his seventh team across his 12 NHL seasons. Duclair has a ton of experience playing in different systems and getting to know the area he lives in off the ice.
"I feel way more comfortable. I know where to be," Duclair said. "I know what's expected of me, and I can just go out there and play with a free mind."
Quinn said when the team acquired Duclair, his ability to be a support system for other players wasn't expected.
"I don't remember that being part of the conversation when we talked about acquiring him," Quinn said. "We knew we had a chance to get a good player."
