Blackwood made great save after great save throughout the night. He stopped 37 shots, which gave him his 10th win of the season. The Sharks got goals from Filip Zadina, Mikael Granlund, and Luke Kunin.
The Blues desperately needed to win tonight's game to keep pace in the Western Conference playoff race. Joel Hofer started for the Blues and made 16 saves.
For the second straight night, the Sharks needed Blackwood to stay strong in the first period, and he made 11 saves in the first. San Jose began their push in the second period and outshot the Blues 12-3.
Filip Zadina creates a turnover on the forecheck and scores his 13th goal of the season to give the Sharks the lead.
Mikael Granlund scored his 21st point in his last 21 games, giving the Sharks a 2-0 lead. He's up to 12 goals this season.
Luke Kunin makes it 3-0 Sharks with a great snipe, scoring his ninth goal of the season.
