Thomas Bordeleau scored twice as the San Jose Sharks beat the Ottawa Senators 2-1 to snap their nine-game losing streak on Saturday night.
"It feels good. Obviously, the goals help you keep track a little bit. I'm just focusing on my overall game and just trying to get better and be more dominant on the ice," Bordeleau said.
Magnus Chrona earned his first career NHL win, making 33 saves. Mikael Granlund celebrated his 800th career game with two assists.
"A lot more. I had a lot of fun in Dallas. It was a lot of lot of action. Tonight a little less action, but a win, and I'll take that all day, every day," Chrona said. "Just joy. Something I dreamt of my entire life. It was close in Dallas, and kind of came into the same situation this time with a two-one lead coming into the third. I think the guys played great in front of me."
Tim Stutzle scored for the Senators, and Joonas Korpisalo made 19 saves.
The Sharks powerplay was once again good as both their goals came on the man advantage.
The team played lighter on their skates, seemingly because the trade deadline had passed. While they didn't play great, they defended well and kept most shots out of the high-danger areas.
Fabian Zetterlund shot the puck, but it deflected off Thomas Bordeleau's leg and into the net. Bordeleau has goals in back-to-back games and three on the season.
Tim Stutzle scores his 15th goal of the season on the powerplay to tie the game at one.
Thomas Bordeleau scored his second goal of the game and 4th of the season to give the Sharks the lead back.
