Dustin Wolf, a native of Gilroy, Calif., made his first NHL start in SAP Center and made 20 saves. The Flames scored goals from Rasmus Andersson and Nazem Kadri.
San Jose played a strong game and converted chances off the rush and turnovers. Collin Graf played his third game and looked even more comfortable with the puck on his stick. He did get caught out on a long shift when the Flames scored their first goal.
Filip Zadina missed tonight's game with a lower-body injury. Sharks head coach David Quinn alluded to some possible injuries before the game.
William Eklund roofs a backhand shot for his 16th goal of the season. Fabian Zetterlund fed him in front with a great pass.
Mike Hoffman created a turnover in the offensive zone and found Jacob MacDonald, who beat Wolf up high with a backhand for his 7th goal of the season.
Rasmus Andersson scored his 9th goal of the season after the Flames hemmed the Sharks in their defensive zone.
Nazem Kadri got a loose puck to settle for him to shoot into the top corner of the net for his 26th goal of the season.
Andrei Kuzmenko won it in OT.
