San Jose Sharks defenseman Calen Addison has been ejected from the last two games after he disagreed with a referee's penalty call.

On Saturday, Addison was called for cross-checking against the St. Louis Blues and voiced his displeasure at the referee. He was subsequently hit with an added unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalty, a ten-minute misconduct, and game misconduct for abuse of an official.

"I'm not out there. I don't hear everything," Quinn said after the first ejection. "That said, I thought it was a little quick, but that's all I'm gonna say."

Quinn said when he spoke to the official after the ejection, he asked about his thought process for throwing Addison out. He didn't reveal that conversation.

Fast-forward to last night's game against the Arizona Coyotes. Addison once again said something to an official and was given a ten-minute misconduct with 8:09 to go in the third period.

Addison was requested by the media postgame, but the Sharks made him unavailable.

"Uhm, we'll talk about that later," Quinn said after the game with visible frustration.

As a follow-up, the bench boss was asked if he would speak to Addison about these ejections.

After Addison's first ejection Henry Thrun took the quarterback role on the first powerplay unit. Thrun notched the primary assist on William Eklund's first goal on the powerplay.

During last night's game, Thrun stayed on the top unit despite Addison returning to action. Once again, Thrun capitalized on his opportunity with a goal and an assist.

"I liked what I saw from him yesterday, so we kept on there," Quinn said about leaving Thrun on the first unit. "I think his overall games has grown, but I also think that element of it I think there's more of a comfort level for him. He's not overwhelmed or intimidated by it."

The Sharks don't have any remaining regular call-ups from the minors. Jacob MacDonald would likely slide back if Calen Addison is healthy scratched due to his actions. Quinn should clarify his conversation with Addison after tomorrow's morning skate.
