The San Jose Sharks have announced the re-signing of 2020 fourth-round pick Brandon Coe to a one-year, two-way contract.
The 22-year-old has spent the last two seasons in the AHL with the San Jose Barracuda. In 56 games last season, Coe had 12 goals and five assists. The 6'4 centerman has become a solid depth option for the 'Cuda, who can play in any situation.
While Mike Grier wasn't in charge when Coe was drafted, he certainly fits the mold of a big-body center that Grier has brought in. Coe will likely need a significant jump in production to have a chance at the NHL, but he remains a solid piece for the Barracuda.
