The San Jose Sharks are signing one of the top free agents on the market, Tyler Toffoli.

The San Jose Sharks are signing one of the top free agents on the market, Tyler Toffoli.

Toffoli was a Stanley Cup Champion with the Los Angeles Kings in 2014 and has become one of the most consistent goal scorers in the NHL. 

Last season, he scored 32 goals with the New Jersey Devils and Winnipeg Jets. In 2022-23, he scored 34 goals and 74 points with the Calgary Flames.

The Sharks are bringing in a solid veteran to complement the young core of forwards. The former Vancouver Canucks winger will be able to take some goal-scoring pressure off William Eklund, Will Smith, Macklin Celebrini, and Fabian Zetterlund.

Toffoli signed a four-year deal with an AAV of $6 million.
