Dean Tait - Hockey Shots - BREAKING: Top Sharks Prospect Named to 1st AHL All-Star Game

San Jose Sharks prospect Danil Gushchin has been named to his first career AHL All-Star game.

Gushchin has 12 goals and 17 assists in 31 games for the San Jose Barracuda this season. He is on pace to beat his point total from last season, 45.

The 21-year-old forward has played four games in the NHL, two this season. In the two games this season, he has one assist. He displayed the elite offensive skill that he will provide in the future.

The San Jose Barracuda is hosting the 2024 AHL All-Star classic for the first time. It will be held at TechCU Arena on Feb. 4-5. Other NHL top prospects like Brandt Clarke, Brennan Othmann, and Dylan Guenther were selected for this year's festivities.

Congratulations to Gushchin for being named to his first-ever AHL All-Star game. He will be the only representative from the Barracuda, so all eyes will be on him to be a star.
