Projected San Jose Sharks No. 1 pick Macklin Celebrini met Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid before game two of the Stanley Cup Final. He also joined ESPN's The Point to talk about the NHL Draft.

Celebrini and other top prospects for the 2024 NHL Draft met with McDavid and other Oilers players shortly after Edmonton arrived at Flordia's arena.

"Watching the best players in the world prepare for this type of game, I felt it was just a learning experience, just kind of seeing how they approach it," Celebrini said. "You can obviously tell that they're pretty laid back, and they've done it before."

Former Sharks winger Evander Kane was also in the group speaking with Celebrini. This isn't the first time the projected top pick has met McDavid. Last summer, they skated together at the BioSteel Hockey Camp in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Other NHL superstars like Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Connor Bedard, and more were also in attendance.

The soon-to-be 18-year-old eventually joined ESPN's pregame show, The Point, and was asked what joining the San Jose Sharks would mean.

Former NHL defenseman P.K. Subban asked the centerman who his favorite player to watch and model his game after. Celebrini promptly responded with Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby.

Steve Levy pressed Celebrini for an answer on whether he would turn pro or return to Boston University. Celebrini said he remains undecided.

Despite publically rooting for the Vancouver Canucks, Celebrini said he wants the Oilers to win the Stanley Cup due to him being Canadian.
