The San Jose Sharks complete their season series with the Montreal Canadiens this evening, hoping to end their 12-game losing streak.

The San Jose Sharks (9-29-3) complete their season series with the Montreal Canadiens (17-17-6) this evening, hoping to end their 12-game losing streak.

San Jose lost to Montreal 3-2 in a shootout on Nov. 24 in a game where Mike Hoffman and William Eklund scored for the Sharks.

The Sharks need to find their offense, as they haven't scored much during this 12-game skid.

Head coach David Quinn confirmed that Logan Couture won't make his season debut tonight, but he did reveal some other lineup changes. Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Kevin Labanc are entering the lineup for Ty Emberson and Scott Sabourin.

Quinn revealed that Emberson has been dealing with a lingering upper-body injury. He is unsure if this injury will require a stint on IR, but if it does, that could free up a spot for Couture.

As for Vlasic getting into the lineup:

"He really hasn't had a chance to get into a rhythm because we haven't practiced a lot," Quinn said. "We've been able to skate a little bit more lately, so he's been able to have some extended practices. We just need him to be Marc-Edouard Vlasic. He's had a Hall of Fame career and is a guy that can give us things that we need."

Vlasic will play in his 1,259th game as a member of the San Jose Sharks tonight. 

Mackenzie Blackwood will start in goal for San Jose. He made 22 saves against the Canadiens in their last matchup. Jesse Ylönen scored a beautiful goal in the sixth round of the shootout to win the game.

In his morning media availability today, Quinn alluded to different line combinations. 

"[They are] spread out a little bit," Quinn said about Eklund and Hoffman. "We've moved some things around. We haven't announced the lineup yet to the players. So I'm going to wait till they know first."
