According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, San Jose Sharks centerman Macklin Celebrini is dealing with a hip injury.

Friedman revealed his report on his Saturday headlines on Sportsnet this evening. 

"It's believed to be a hip injury. That's the information we are getting," Friedman said. "He's out week-to-week."

While Friedman's report doesn't have significant depth, it is the first specific detail of what Celebrini is possibly dealing with, as reported by a trusted NHL source. The Sharks haven't confirmed the star centerman's injury, stating only that it's a lower-body injury. '

San Jose Hockey Now's Sheng Peng heard similar reports about Celebrini's injury. 

Celebrini will miss a minimum of seven days due to his placement on injured reserve.
