While you settle in (coffee in hand, ideally), here’s a quick look back at the week that was on The Hockey News – San Jose Sharks site. Whether you’ve been following every move or just catching up now, we’ve got you covered.

This week, my colleague Jesse Courville-Lynch took a look at some of the news and rumors swirling around the Sharks, as well as some hypothetical moves the team could consider. Things are still relatively quiet, as the offseason hasn’t fully kicked into gear just yet. That said, with the NHL Draft Combine wrapping up last week, there have been some rumblings about who the Sharks might be targeting.

Outside of that, it wasn’t an overly action-packed stretch, but we kept you covered with what did happen. Looking ahead, we’ll continue digging into potential draft targets with the 2025 NHL Draft now less than two weeks away, and we’ll keep tracking all things Sharks as the offseason heats up.

The rumor mill is heating up. With only two weeks until the NHL Draft, there’s more and more buzz circulating around the league. For the San Jose Sharks, they find themselves in a spot where they’ll more than likely be taking on a few tough contracts — but ones tied to players who can still make an impact on the roster and in the room.
