Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports - Sharks Defenseman Tossed For Abuse Of Officials Against Blues

San Jose Sharks defenseman Calen Addison was ejected during tonight's game during the first period for abuse of officials.

Addison was called for a questionable cross-checking penalty with 20.1 seconds to go in the first frame. It looked like he just pushed down without any brute force.

Addison was upset, to say the least, and voiced his opinion to the referee with what looked to be multiple expletives.

Head coach David Quinn wasn't happy with the call either, as expected. After the call had been made, he went in front of the players' bench to talk with a referee for a better explanation.

Addison was given four penalties for a total of 24 PIMs. The Sharks killed off the ensuing four-minute powerplay the St. Louis Blues had.
