Although the video shows just Kostin's back, he later posted a picture of the ice on his Instagram story, tagging defenseman Evan Bouchard in the image.

He was well-loved during his time in Edmonton. While only playing one season, 2022-23, Kostin set career highs with 11 goals and ten assists.
He was shown on the video board during the third period of the game.
The Sharks winger was acquired from the Detroit Red Wings at this season's trade deadline and had five goals and five assists in 19 games. He often said he "felt alive again" when asked about his trade to San Jose.
It is unclear how long Kostin will be in the area, but he is enjoying the Stanley Cup Playoffs like a true hockey fan should.
