The San Jose Sharks lost 5-4 in overtime to the Chicago Blackhawks, creating a franchise first.

Last night marked the first time in 2,749 games, including the postseason, that the San Jose Sharks lost after holding a four-goal lead.

San Jose dominated the first period. Even the Blackhawks knew it too, as their head coach, Luke Richardson, yelled at the bench.

"Just little plays here and there, just little turnovers, little puck management issues," Sharks forward Thomas Bordeleau said about what went wrong. I think if we clear that up, we can play with the best teams, but if we play like that and we give up those chances, it'll catch up to us."

The history doesn't stop there. Sharks forward Fabian Zetterlund finished the game with two goals and one assist. That didn't stop him from becoming the third player since 2001, with three points and still finish -4.

The Sharks have today off and will practice on Monday before hosting the Dallas Stars on Tuesday. San Jose blew a three-goal lead to the Stars on March 6th.
